Surat Al-Baqarah Verse No. 111: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 111 from Surah Al-Baqarah : Number of verses 286 - - page 17 - Part 1.

﴾وَقَالُواْ لَن يَدۡخُلَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوۡ نَصَٰرَىٰۗ تِلۡكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمۡۗ قُلۡ هَاتُواْ بُرۡهَٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿
[ البقرة: 111]

And they say, "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." These are their own desires. Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him), "Produce your proof if you are truthful."

English - Sahih International

And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(2:111) They say, "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or according to the Christians) a Christian." These are their wishful fancies. *112 Say to them, "Bring your proof, if you are right in your claim."
