Surat Yusuf Verse No. 14: Reading and listening
Translation of the verse 14 from Surah Yusuf : Number of verses 111 - - page 236 - Part 12.
﴾قَالُواْ لَئِنۡ أَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئۡبُ وَنَحۡنُ عُصۡبَةٌ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّخَٰسِرُونَ ﴿
[ يوسف: 14]
They said: "If a wolf devours him, while we are 'Usbah (a strong group) (to guard him), then surely, we are the losers."
English - Sahih International
They said, "If a wolf should eat him while we are a [strong] clan, indeed, we would then be losers."
Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(12:14) They replied, "If a wolf should eat him up in our company, when we are a band, we shall be worthless people indeed!"
