Translation of the verse 164 from Surah As-saffat : Number of verses 182 - - page 452 - Part 23.

﴾وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ ﴿
[ الصافات: 164]

There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position);

English - Sahih International

[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.

(37:164) As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. *91

*91) That is, "Not to speak of being Allah's children, we do not have the power to exceed in any way or degree the place and position and status appointed for each of us by Allah. "
