Surat Muhammad Verse No. 21: Reading and listening
Translation of the verse 21 from Surah Muhammad : Number of verses 38 - - page 509 - Part 26.

﴾طَاعَةٞ وَقَوۡلٞ مَّعۡرُوفٞۚ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ فَلَوۡ صَدَقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۡ ﴿
[ محمد: 21]
Obedience (to Allah) and good words (were better for them). And when the matter (preparation for Jihad) is resolved on, then if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.

Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.
Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(47:21) (They keep affirming their) obedience and saying good words. But when a course of action was clearly determined, it would have been better for them if they had proved true to Allah.
