Surat Al-Isra’ Verse No. 3: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 3 from Surah Al-Isra’ : Number of verses 111 - - page 282 - Part 15.

﴾ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنۡ حَمَلۡنَا مَعَ نُوحٍۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَبۡدٗا شَكُورٗا ﴿
[ الإسراء: 3]

"O offspring of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Nuh (Noah)! Verily, he was a grateful slave."

English - Sahih International

O descendants of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah. Indeed, he was a grateful servant.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(17:3) You are the descendants of those _ whom We bore in the Ark with Noah, *4 and .he was truly a grateful servant".

*4) That is, "You are the descendants of Noah and his companions;" therefore ,you should behave in a manner as behoves such people. You should make Allah alone your Guardian, for your ancestors escaped death from the flood only because they had made Allah their Guardian. "
