Surat Al-hijr Verse No. 33: Reading and listening
Translation of the verse 33 from Surah Al-hijr : Number of verses 99 - - page 264 - Part 14.
﴾قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ ﴿
[ الحجر: 33]
[Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud."
English - Sahih International
He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."
Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(15:33) He replied, "It does not behove me to bow down before this man whom you have created from dried clay of rotten earth. "
