Translation of the verse 36 from Surah Al-‘Ankabut : Number of verses 69 - - page 400 - Part 20.
And to (the people of) Madyan (Midian), We sent their brother Shu'aib (Shuaib). He said: "O my people! Worship Allah, and hope for (the reward of good deeds by worshipping Allah Alone, on) the last Day, and commit no mischief on the earth as Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts).
And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah and expect the Last Day and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."
(29:36) And We sent to Midian their brother Shuayb. *61 He said: 'My people, serve Allah and look forward to the Last Day *62 and do not go about the earth committing mischief.'
*61) For comparison, see AI-'raf: 85-93, Hud: 84-96, Ash-Shu araa: 177
*62) This can have two meanings: (1) "Look forward to the life hereafter, and do not think that there is no life after this worldly life, when you will have to render an account of your deeds and be rewarded or punished accordingly." (2) "Work righteously so as to meet a good end in the Hereafter."
