Surat Al-Isra’ Verse No. 40: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 40 from Surah Al-Isra’ : Number of verses 111 - - page 286 - Part 15.

﴾أَفَأَصۡفَىٰكُمۡ رَبُّكُم بِٱلۡبَنِينَ وَٱتَّخَذَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنَٰثًاۚ إِنَّكُمۡ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوۡلًا عَظِيمٗا ﴿
[ الإسراء: 40]

Has then your Lord (O pagans of Makkah) preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself from among the angels daughters. Verily! You utter an awful saying, indeed.

English - Sahih International

Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying.

(17:40) What! has your Lord favoured you with sons and adopted angels as daughters for Himself? *46 Indeed it is a big lie that you are uttering.
