Surat Al-Anbiya’ Verse No. 46: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 46 from Surah Al-Anbiya’ : Number of verses 112 - - page 326 - Part 17.

﴾وَلَئِن مَّسَّتۡهُمۡ نَفۡحَةٞ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَٰوَيۡلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴿
[ الأنبياء: 46]

And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).

English - Sahih International

And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(21:46) However, even if the slightest torment of your Lord touched them, *47 they would forthwith cry out, "Woe to us ! no doubt we were wrong-doers" .

*47) That is, "The same scourge which they are demanding to be hastened and of which they are making fun."
