Surat At-Taubah Verse No. 48: Reading and listening
Translation of the verse 48 from Surah At-Taubah : Number of verses 129 - - page 195 - Part 10.
﴾لَقَدِ ٱبۡتَغَوُاْ ٱلۡفِتۡنَةَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَقَلَّبُواْ لَكَ ٱلۡأُمُورَ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَظَهَرَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَهُمۡ كَٰرِهُونَ ﴿
[ التوبة: 48]
Verily, they had plotted sedition before, and had upset matters for you, - until the truth (victory) came and the Decree of Allah (His Religion, Islam) became manifest though they hated it.
English - Sahih International
They had already desired dissension before and had upset matters for you until the truth came and the ordinance of Allah appeared, while they were averse.

(9:48) Even before this, these people had striven to stir up mischief and turn by turn they practised all sorts of devices to make you unsuccessful, until the Truth prevailed and Allah's design was fulfilled, though they were averse to it.
