Translation of the verse 57 from Surah Az-Zumar : Number of verses 75 - - page 465 - Part 24.

surah الزمر ayah 57 - Or [lest] it say,

Or (lest) he should say: "If only Allah had guided me, I should indeed have been among the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2)."

Or [lest] it say, "If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous."

(39:57) and lest a person should say: 'If only Allah had guided me, I should have been one of the God-fearing';
