Surat Al-Ahqaf Verse No. 6: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 6 from Surah Al-Ahqaf : Number of verses 35 - - page 503 - Part 26.

﴾وَإِذَا حُشِرَ ٱلنَّاسُ كَانُواْ لَهُمۡ أَعۡدَآءٗ وَكَانُواْ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ كَٰفِرِينَ ﴿
[ الأحقاف: 6]

And when mankind are gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping.

English - Sahih International

And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(46:6) When all human beings will be gathered together those who had been called upon will become the enemies to their votaries and will disown their worship. *7

*7) That is, they will say: 'We had neither told the people to invoke us for help, nor are we aware that they used to invoke us. They themselves had presumed that we could fulfil their needs and so had started invoking us."
