Translation of the verse 74 from Surah Al-hijr : Number of verses 99 - - page 266 - Part 14.

﴾فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ﴿
[ الحجر: 74]

And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay.

And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay.

(15:74) Then We turned their habitations up-side-down and We rained stones of baked clay upon them. *41

*41) These "stones of baked clay" might have been meteoric showers or volcanic eruptions that flew and rained upon them, or these might have been blown by a strong wind.
