Translation of the verse 82 from Surah Al-hijr : Number of verses 99 - - page 266 - Part 14.

﴾وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ ﴿
[ الحجر: 82]

And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure.

And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.

(15:82) They hewed their dwellings into the mountains *46 and apparently lived in full security.
