Surat An-Nahl Verse No. 88: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 88 from Surah An-Nahl : Number of verses 128 - - page 277 - Part 14.

﴾ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ زِدۡنَٰهُمۡ عَذَابٗا فَوۡقَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يُفۡسِدُونَ ﴿
[ النحل: 88]

Those who disbelieved and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, for them We will add torment over the torment; because they used to spread corruption [by disobeying Allah themselves, as well as ordering others (mankind) to do so].

English - Sahih International

Those who disbelieved and averted [others] from the way of Allah - We will increase them in punishment over [their] punishment for what corruption they were causing.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(16:88) We will inflict double torment *85 on those who followed the way of disbelief and hindered others from the Way of Allah on account of the chaos they spread in this world.
