Translation of the verse 28 from Surah An-Najm : Number of verses 62 - - page 527 - Part 27.

﴾وَمَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍۖ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّۖ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ شَيۡـٔٗا ﴿
[ النجم: 28]

While they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth.

English - Sahih International

And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(53:28) although they have no knowledge regarding that. They only follow their conjecture *23 and conjecture can never take the place of the Truth.

*23) That is, "They have not adopted this creed about the angels on the ground that they had found through some means of knowledge that they were females and daughters of God, but they have presumed this on mere conjecture and have set up these shrines at which they pray for fulfillment of desires, make offerings and pay tributes."
