Surat Al-Insan Verse No. 28: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 28 from Surah Al-Insan : Number of verses 31 - - page 580 - Part 29.

﴾نَّحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَٰهُمۡ وَشَدَدۡنَآ أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ وَإِذَا شِئۡنَا بَدَّلۡنَآ أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ تَبۡدِيلًا ﴿
[ الإنسان: 28]

It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement.

English - Sahih International

We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(76:28) We created them and strengthened their joints; and whenever We wish, We can change their faces entirely. *32

*32) The sentence, "Whenever it be Our will We can change their forms', can have several meanings:
(1) That whenever We please We can destroy them and replace them by other people of their own kind, who will be different from them in conduct;
(2) that whenever We please We can change their forms; that is, just as We can make someone healthy and sound in body, so also We have the power to make somebody a paralytic, cause someone to be struck with facial paralysis and other to fall a victim to some disease or accident and become a cripple permanently; and
(3) that whenever We will We can recreate them in some other form after death.
