Surat Al-Anbiya’ Verse No. 42: Reading and listening

Translation of the verse 42 from Surah Al-Anbiya’ : Number of verses 112 - - page 325 - Part 17.

﴾قُلۡ مَن يَكۡلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ﴿
[ الأنبياء: 42]

Say: "Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Beneficent (Allah)?" Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord.

English - Sahih International

Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(21:42) (O Muhammad), ask them, "Who is there to protect you from the Merciful in the night or in the day?" *43 (None!) Yet they are paying no heed to the Admonition of their Lord.

*43) That is to say, "Who is there to protect and save you from the scourge of Allah if you are suddenly visited by it any time during the night or day?"
