Surat Ghafir Verse No. 84: Reading and listening
Translation of the verse 84 from Surah Ghafir : Number of verses 85 - - page 476 - Part 24.
﴾فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡاْ بَأۡسَنَا قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُۥ وَكَفَرۡنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِۦ مُشۡرِكِينَ ﴿
[ غافر: 84]
So when they saw Our punishment, they said: "We believe in Allah Alone and reject (all) that we used to associate with Him as (His) partners.
English - Sahih International
And when they saw Our punishment, they said," We believe in Allah alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate with Him."
Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(40:84) When they saw Our chastisement, they said: 'We have come to believe in Allah, the Only One, and we reject all what we had associated (with Allah in His Divinity).'
