Surat An-Nahl Verse No. 57: Reading and listening
Translation of the verse 57 from Surah An-Nahl : Number of verses 128 - - page 273 - Part 14.
﴾وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡبَنَٰتِ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَلَهُم مَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ ﴿
[ النحل: 57]
And they assign daughters unto Allah! Glorified (and Exalted) be He above all that they associate with Him!. And unto themselves what they desire;

And they attribute to Allah daughters - exalted is He - and for them is what they desire.

(16:57) They assign daughters to Allah; *50 praise be to God! as for themselves, they would like to have what they desire. *51

*50) This refers to a tradition of the ancient Arabs. They regarded their goddesses and angels as daughters of God.
